Biography

As President of Skybound Interactive, Dan Murray draws on a detailed understanding of the industry gained from working closely with publishers, developers, investors and entertainment partners. He joined Foundation 9 Entertainment in 2006 when the company was purchased by a private equity firm, facilitating the acquisition of additional studios.

With eleven studios located around the world and approximately 1,000 full-time staff, Foundation 9 was the most prolific independent game studio in the world releasing over 500 games to market. Dan closed over 50 major game development deals with partners including Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Activision, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Warner Brothers, Disney, Nexon, Sega, Capcom and Konami. Titles include “The Simpsons,” “Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions,” “Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines,” “Marvel Super Hero Squad,” “Kung Fu Panda 2,” “Shinobi,” “Killer Instinct,” “Sega All-Stars Transformed,” ”Strider,” and “Full House Pro: World Series of Poker.”

In 2012, Dan established an independent mobile publishing division called Rogue Play based in Redwood Shores which is currently developing several AAA mobile products including the global release of “Godzilla” based on the upcoming Warner Brothers film produced by Legendary Pictures.

Dan graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in Finance.
