Biography

Kyra is a recognized leader in digital entertainment. She is currently CEO of Katapult, part of the Betaworks family of start-ups. She previously founded KReate Lab to incubate and advise companies to help unlock new business opportunities and bridge technology and consumer experiences. Prior to KReate Lab, Kyra spent 18 years at Viacom, pioneering digital platforms across Nickelodeon brands. As SVP and General Manager of Nickelodeon Games, she spearheaded the mobile business and product development, launching over 20 top-ranking apps including SpongeBob Moves In, and NickJr. Draw & Play. She also led the strategy, business and creative development of top virtual worlds Neopets, and Monkey Quest, and top game destinations Addicting Games and Shockwave. She introduced Nickelodeon online for preschoolers and parents with NickJr.com and architected the ParentsConnect brand, which paved the way for Nickelodeon’s mom-targeted advertising business; led the acquisition of local family resource GoCityKids; introduced Nickelodeon’s first short form web video series for parents; and developed NickJr.Boost, Nickelodeon’s first educational subscription service. Kyra earned a B.A. from Wellesley College and a J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law.
